Our approach
Dr. Alexander Sanchez understands that people are more than the sum of their experiences, and illness is more than the sum of its symptoms. He is treating adult patients for a range of conditions but more importantly, he wants to know your story. As a medical doctor, he has the training and experience necessary to address the most complex conditions, even when others have failed, while remaining human-centered.
Providing you with a safe space to heal
Your initial appointment is essential to establishing a foundation to begin healing. As such, it will not be rushed and may require two sessions to accomplish all the necessary tasks, including history taking, examination, review of records, collaboration with other treating physicians and providers, and formulation of treatment plan.
In-person and remote options
Our psychiatry office is conveniently located in downtown Millburn, steps away from the Millburn train station, and near Short Hills, Maplewood, South Orange, Summit and other communities. Dr. Sanchez believes that remote therapy is a helpful augment to in person treatment, but it is difficult to maintain the human connection by only offering telepsychiatry. After establishing care, televisits may become part of an overall treatment plan if both patient and doctor consent.
